Overall, the house was beautiful, but there were many cleanliness issues that I would not expect from a $500+ per night accommodation. Both outdoor grills, which we needed for all meals, were in unacceptable condition — one was rusted and unusable, while the other appeared to have never been cleaned. Furniture on the deck was also broken. There were dirty areas throughout the house, including a filthy bar sink and even a rotting apple core inside a cabinet. After advising Jason of these concerns, he stated that he would send Kim to clean, but she never showed up. Most disappointing was Jason’s claim that he had personally inspected the property and deemed it acceptable.

Jason was a great host for me and my friends and very cooperative. The property was beautiful and everything felt effortless with Jason’s help. I highly recommend this Airbnb for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

We had a really great stay at this cabin and would absolutely recommend it to others. From the moment we arrived, everything felt well thought out and easy to navigate. The space was exceptionally clean - one of the cleanest Airbnbs we’ve stayed in - which immediately made us feel comfortable settling in. The instructions provided by the host were clear, detailed, and easy to follow, making check-in and the overall stay completely stress-free. The cabin itself is cozy, well-maintained, and has everything you need for a relaxing getaway. It’s clear the host puts effort into making sure guests have a positive experience. The only small issue we ran into was with the outdoor lighting - not all of the lights turned on automatically at night, which made it very dark outside. It wasn’t a major problem, but something worth noting for future guests. Overall, this was a wonderful stay and we would definitely come back again.

We had a great stay - house was clean, modern, everything was as expected. Plenty of space for two families to hang out. Kitchen was set up so we could actually cook. Beds were comfortable. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub and firepit. We'd happily stay again!

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The location is fantastic, though arriving at night made finding our way in a bit tricky. The house itself is beautiful and very well maintained. The Blackstone grill with the air fryer was a huge hit, and the game room kept the kids entertained for hours. There was plenty of space for the kids to run around, lots of fresh towels, and a well‑equipped kitchen that made meals easy. The hot tub seemed to have a touch more chlorine than we’re used to, though I’m no expert — still enjoyable overall. The surrounding area has gorgeous hikes, and the whole place felt peaceful and inviting. We’d love to come back in the summer to enjoy the pool.

Beautiful, cozy, peaceful–everything you could want from a mountain getaway! We absolutely loved having a fireplace in the living room (especially one that’s so easy to use!) and having a dedicated bathroom for every bedroom was such a luxury. The pool table, ping pong, and arcade games in the basement provided hours of entertainment as well. The hot tub works well and is easy to use. Highly recommend!

This house is perfect for hosting a big group! Lots of big space and great facilities.

We loved our stay in the cabin. Everything was perfect; the location was away from the city noise, and the cabin felt so cozy. We especially loved the Christmas decorations, which made it even more special given the time of year. Jason was always just a message away, and we are very grateful for all his attention and help.

Wardensville is a great place to go if you just want to get away to a small town in the mountains, and this was our second visit to this airbnb. We went to Marinas Pizza on the first night and made dinner on the grill the other nights. We got maple cinnamon buns and pepperoni rolls from the Wardensville Garden Market for breakfast and lunch. We hiked the Tuscarora Trail, which was nearby and very easy to get to, and we used the hot tub and pool table/game room every day. We appreciate that our dog was welcome here, and we will consider coming here again!

Great space! Kids loved it! Pool table and games were so much fun!! The gift basket for the dog was over the top and so adorable! Sad we missed the fall festival (scheduled after our visit.) Local shops were very nice. The pool and hot tub were on point and very enjoyable!

Beautiful home with lots of games and amenities. Host was responsive and easy to reach. Our only downside was that the house was listed as “pet friendly” but unfortunately was only dog friendly, which made coming out without our cat very difficult for us. Would recommend to specify that in the listing instead of only the rental agreement. We ran low on some supplies like toilet paper & hand soap so it was a tad less stocked than our usual airbnbs. But overall beautiful home, everything else was good.

We had a wonderful stay. The pool, game room, and hot tub were our favorite parts. So peaceful in the woods but not too far from a small town. All of the bedrooms were comfortable and the space was perfect for us.

Our family had a spectacular week at Jason’s home! The house lacked absolutely nothing in the way of amenities and I have to say was the cleanest Airbnb I’ve rented in a long time! The home is surrounded by such peaceful & beautiful woods…even the birds are quiet!😂 The kids loved the pool and s’mores around the campfire. The fire pit had the most comfortable Adirondack chairs and the firewood was even in a covered shed to keep the wood dry. The basement had a pool/ping pong table and 4 arcade-style video games, too. Like I said, there was nothing Jason didn’t think of for his renters-even Google throughout the house. We will definitely be returning to this home…you shouldn’t even think twice about renting this Airbnb in the cute town of Wardensville, WV. And make sure you eat at Mack’s Bingo Kitchen: the food is scrumptious and the Staff is truly OUTSTANDING. Sorry if this seems like a long review but there was just so much to tell you about this great home and super Host!

Jason’s place was just as it looked in the pictures. Beautiful scenery and plenty of amenities to satisfy both adults and children. We spent most days cooking on the blackstone and relaxing at the pool. The indoor kitchen was perfect with everything you would need. We went on a few hikes in the nearby mountains and got to see some wonderful views. My wife and I are already considering this place again for next year’s family vacation. My only regret is we didn’t stay longer.

Fantastic cabin with great amenities! We rented this cabin for a weekend away with our friends who live in DC - it was a nice middle ground to meet between Western PA and Washington DC. The house is probably one of the nicest AirBnBs I've stayed in - very clean, beautifully set-up, nicely stocked linens and towels, etc. We had two families with small kiddos at this house and one thing I would note is where all of the bedrooms are setup in the house - there's a large "master" suite upstairs with a room big enough for a pack-n-play and a bathroom outside in the hallway. On the main floor, there are two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Then in the basement, there is an extra bedroom with a bathroom. These were all great, but given our daughters are all less than 4 years old, we didn't feel comfortable using the basement bedroom for one of them (or us given the girls would be alone somewhere). The cabin is on a gravel road and feels peaceful with few people around. Great pool too - we loved it

Very nice house, exactly as described/pictured and clean. I will say it is very much in the middle of nowhere, more so than we expected, so if you're looking for entertainment, be prepared to drive at least 30 minutes. The pool is wonderful, the hot tub was nice also. If you're looking to just hang out and relax, than this house is perfect.

It was a great get away well needed. The place was gorgeous , quite, everything we needed. The older adults rode the train in Romney , my daughter and soon to be her fiancee rode horses. Very nice stay! We did have to buy toilet paper as there wasn’t any when we got there so just be aware to bring some of your own. otherwise very tranquil and quiet stay with everything you need for a good weekend !

We absolutely loved our stay! The house had so many fantastic features — the pool, deck with hot tub, black stone and grill setup, spacious bedrooms and bathrooms, and the awesome arcade room. It was also incredibly private, spotless, and stocked with thoughtful amenities. Everything matched the listing perfectly, but somehow the house still managed to exceed our expectations. The host was responsive and helpful throughout our stay. We were a group of two adults and three kids (ages 4, 8, and 11), and everyone had a wonderful time and found plenty of ways to enjoy the house. I’d highly recommend this property and would gladly stay here again.

My husband and I stayed here with our 5 children and my parents. The layout was perfect- grandparents had the upstairs suite and we had the other suite on the main floor. The pool and hot tub were clean. Fire pit was stocked with firewood. The surroundings were beautiful, quiet and peaceful. Both covered decks were clean and welcoming. The kitchen had all the essentials plus plenty of coffee! The basement game area was perfect for the rainy times when we couldn't get outdoors. The bedrooms were comfortable. Bathrooms clean. Overall, the house was cozy, clean and better than the pictures.

This place was everything we were looking for and more. We felt secluded in nature but also fully equipped with all the amenities we could’ve asked for. Excellent seating and eating areas both inside and out. Excellent fire pit. Incredibly spacious house. The game room was an absolute hoot and kept us entertained for hours when we weren’t swimming or hanging out outside. Beautifully maintained hot tub, pool, and outdoor lounge space. The beds were comfortable. Jason was an excellent communicator and gave us amazing recommendations in town. The house was very well stocked with towels, cutlery, firewood, etc. Almost everyone in the group agreed that this was the best Airbnb they had ever stayed at. We loved it here and would go back in a heartbeat. 11/10 would recommend.

Probably the most responsive host and property manager that I've ever encountered on AirBnB. I had texted the PM with an issue and she was there within 5 minutes. Impressive. The natural surroundings are beautiful -- we were there during a snowstorm and it felt like a postcard. They also had someone come and plow the area so that we could drive up/down the hill. Plenty of firewood outdoors, which we appreciated. The only downside was the hot tub scum which prevented us from using it over the long weekend (needed to drain the water and clean it rather than just add more chlorine), and there were dead bugs in the bedroom carpet -- stink bugs/flies/ladybugs/etc.. (nothing large or invasive). More of a nuisance than anything -- but still, not perfectly clean. All in all, we'd stay again -- maybe in the summer so that we can actually use the pool?

This place is so comfortable and easy to be in! The pictures are accurate, the space is clean and easy. We would love to make an other visit. The instructions and information from the host was super clear and we had zero problems during our stay.

Definitely one of the top Air BnBs we’ve stayed at. Exactly as pictured, comfortable, incredibly well appointed (there’s not 1 but 2 stocked coffee bars), and Jason was a fantastic host. Absolutely recommend.

It’s an amazing house for sure! Just like the picture shows. I paid almost $900 for Tuesday and Wednesday nights I recommend this house for summer season in case you wanna enjoy the pool. I felt like they’re really strict with the rules but I understand that’s how they keep the house beautiful. The only thing missing from this house was dish soap and paper towels. Unlike other houses I have rented, this one does not have these types of extras, it wasn’t a big problem bc there’s a dollar store 7 minutes away. Regarding the host, he was very efficient, he responded very quickly to my questions, which was very efficient for me since it was my first time using the Airbnb app. I have rented through Booking and Expedia. The truth is that it is the same system, but for some reason I was nervous that something would not go well at the moment of check in. I am 35 weeks pregnant so I couldn’t enjoy the hot tub but my sisters did. I had a relaxed nights at the fire pit, they had plenty of wood.

One of the rooms had a closet with faculty shelfs that broke when elderly parents tried to hang clothes. This could have caused serious injuries to elderly mom and dad. Instead of apologizing, Jason tried to invoice us for repairs. He also tried to say we stole towels, which they then discovered. Horrible experience.

Nice spot with plenty of amentities - arcade, pool table, hot tub, heated pool and a great outdoor kitchen setup. Local restaurants do have limited open times and local grocery store has some essentials but closes early. I would definitely plan accordingly unless you have the time to drive 30-45 minutes to better options. Would definitely stay again with a better meal plan setup before the trip started.

This house is really awesome. The pool and hot tub are nice, and the grilling area with Blackstone makes cooking easy. Big game room downstairs with a pool table, arcade...great for kids. Lots of hiking, and other fun stuff to do in the area.

Just had a great 4 day weekend at this gem with family for a little R&R getaway. House is so nice and just as pictured. Very peaceful location. Quaint little town too. Ate dinner at Mack’s, visited the Farmer’s market, and went to Kerr’s grocery a couple times. We came prepared with a lot as we planned to eat most all of our meals in. Thought about going to some local attractions but opted to stay in and make full use of the house & its amenities and so glad we did. Coffee dates every morning with Ms Pac-Man, lounging in the pool for hours during the afternoons, big breakfasts/dinners on the griddle and grill, hot tub, fires & ping pong battles at night. Was a good time! And can’t say enough nice things about Jason. Gave the most thorough instructions I’ve ever received from a home owner and always quick to answer with any concerns. Hated to leave but knew others needed to come take a turn and have some fun too.

Can’t say enough good things about this location and host! The house is perfect - every detail is thoughtful. Plenty of space to spread out on the three floors. The indoor highlights were the master, the kitchen, and the game room. Outside…the pool, hot tub, grilling area, and fire pit were all equally enjoyed. Jason sent many area recommendations and we did some hiking, swimming in the lake at Trout Pond, and shopping at the Farmers Markets. Now we are just trying to find time to come back! Well done!!

This place was a great spot to meet up with our friends! We had 4 adults and 4 kids and everyone loved it. This place is quiet and secluded it was very nice and didn’t seem like a rental it felt like a persons home. We were very comfortable. Also, the back patio area is amazing! We spent a lot of time sitting back there and I’m not joking when I say we cooked every meal on the blackstone grill! What a great setup!

5 stars. This home has plenty of space for our family, was immaculately clean and simply beautiful. It rained out entire stay and we didn't even mind! Plenty of room to spread out, the hot tub was in great order, the arcade kept my kids occupied for hours. My only suggestion for the owners is to update the pictures because these don't do it justice! There is a beautiful loft space and private area upstairs that wowed us. Definitely worth the trip for some private time in a great home.

We had the best time! The property was perfect for our girls getaway!

We had a wonderful stay. The house was clean, well appointed, and we really loved the wooded setting and all the space. We also loved ping-pong, pool, and the arcade games. We were there over Christmas, and appreciated the holiday decorating. Two things to note: some of the descriptions in the listing were inconsistent. Jason was great about clarifying when we asked a question, but I’d pay attention to both the photos and the text and reach out if you have questions. Additionally, in at least two or three places, there were cameras on the outside of the house that were on. We are guessing that they were for security, which I certainly understand, but some might not feel comfortable with this level of oversight.

My family loved it hope to be back soon.

My husband and I had a great stay at Jason’s place. Check in was easy, house was clean and had many amenities, location was easy to find and was very peaceful. We really enjoyed the hot tub, game room and also the music throughout the house. Most things were a drive to get to, but we enjoyed the scenery on the way to Blackwater Falls, Seneca Rocks and Skyline Drive. We would definitely stay here again!

We loved our weekend at this home! The property was very secluded, but still easy to access. The home was by far one of the cleanest Airbnbs I’ve ever rented and perfectly equipped. The kitchen had plenty of supplies we were able to use to cook most of our meals at home, and our host provided us a ton of suggestions for the meals we ended up eating out. We got a ton of use out of the fire pit, hot tub, and game room downstairs. Our host Jason was very thorough with his instructions and answered all of our questions very quickly ahead of our trip. A great peaceful spot perfect for a group retreat

We had a lot of fun during our four-night stay at High Point Haven. The house was very nicely decorated, clean, and spacious. We especially liked the game room, the hot tub, and making a good dinner using the grill. There were plenty of pans, utensils, dishes, bowls and glasses. The upstairs Keurig was especially convenient! The wooded lot was so peaceful and private. We roasted hot dogs and made s'mores over the fire. We bought cinnamon buns at the nearby farmer's market (yum!) and did some hiking. We appreciated that pets are welcome there, and we would definitely consider going back sometime!

Very nice house, very clean, very “cosy”

Overall it's a really nice stay with peaceful surroundings, although there was no hot water in the downstairs bathroom, and the real disappointment was that at the end of the stay even tho we paid a cleaning fee we had to take off all the bed sheets and pillow covers and put with the towels in the wash machine, and we had to takeout the trash.

Our family had a fantastic time, especially spending time on the wrap around deck and the open floorplan. We only went out for quick trips and visited the Wardensville town and enjoyed the Garden Market and Lost River Trading Post. We would absolutely recommend people to stay here.

Jason’s home exceeded all the expectations my friends and I had for the weekend. The spot was the perfect get away to be one with nature in privacy but still feel completely safe. The photos on the listing matched the house perfectly. It was exactly what we needed to enjoy time away from reality. We only left the house to retrieve groceries and enjoy some local attractions. We absolutely loved this cabin! It was really a completely new, modern, beautiful house in the woods. The pictures do not do it justice. We had everything we needed and more! We really appreciated all the “extras” — the nice towels and linens, robes in the closet, tea and coffee, and toiletries. It made us feel like we were at a resort rather than a rental. The whole family loved the game room downstairs, curling up in the beautiful living room, and enjoying the hot tub. The town of Wardensville was such a nice surprise! It’s very close (5 minutes tops) to the house, and was fun to explore. We especially loved the Garden Market, the glass blowing place, Word Play, and the trading post. Jason’s cabin was just as beautiful as the pictures but even more spacious than I imagined. This cabin was very up-to-date with high-speed Wi-Fi, smart devices in each room along side Smart TVs, Fun old school games and beautiful interior design. There was lots of cooking supplies in the kitchen and countertop space for cooking as well. The surrounding area was beautiful and the locals were very friendly. There was a lovely market about five minutes away with delicious treats and fresh produce. Jason was a lovely host and had lots of recommendations for things to do and places to eat as well as quick responses to any questions we had. I would absolutely recommend people to stay here.

It was a pleasure staying at Jason’s place. It looked exactly like the pictures and everything was very well organized and cleaned. We loved that his place is pet friendly and very peaceful. Jason also responded on time whenever we reached out. Overall it was a great experience and we will definitely be booking again in the future.

We enjoyed a weekend getaway to this home. It’s well-appointed and comfortable. We liked the wooded privacy and also found good coffee, food, and a lovely bookstore in Wardensville. We may try to return in the spring 🙂.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at High Point Haven and it was an wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the clean and well-appointed cabin. The kitchen and bathroom were well supplied and made it easy for us to cook meals and get ready each day. The cabin was roomy and provided ample space for us to relax and unwind. The beds and couches were incredibly comfortable and Jason, went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed during our stay. He was always available and responsive to our requests, making our experience at High Point Haven truly personalized. The pac man arcade game was a hit. If you're looking for a cozy and well-equipped cabin for your next getaway, we would highly recommend High Point Haven. Jason thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable.

This house was AWESOME!!!! my friends and I loved how big and open it was. It’s also pretty secluded so if you’re looking to relax and have some downtime, this house is definitely it. Hopefully we will be back in the future!
